Grace Red Peas Mac and Cheese

  • 2 tbsps Butter
  • 1 onion minced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 can Grace Red peas
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 1/2 cup shredded cheese
  • 1 sachet All Purpose Seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 lb Pasta (any shape) cooked and cooled

Grace Red Peas Mac and Cheese Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. In a medium sized pot melt butter
  3. Once melted sauté onion, garlic and Grace Red Peas
  4. Add flour to mixture and stir until well combined
  5. Add milk and allow to simmer for 3 minutes
  6. Remove from heat and place mixture in a blender
  7. Blend on high until smooth
  8. Place back on medium heat and add cheese, Grace All Purpose Seasoning and salt and pepper reserving a small amount of the cheese
  9. Stir until all cheese is melted
  10. Add pasta and stir well until sauce is distributed evenly on pasta
  11. Grease a medium size Pyrex or baking dish
  12. Pour mixture into baking dish and top with remaining cheese
  13. Place into pre heated oven and bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown on top
  14. Remove from oven and serve hot
