Heat milk, stir in sugar and 1/4 cup Grace Guava Jam and mix until dissolved, then put to cool.
Beat egg and add to cooled milk mixture along with melted Grace Prima Margarine.
Sift together dry ingredients. Make a well in the center of dry ingredients, and add the liquid mixture.
Add mixed peel, soaked raisins and Grace Browning and mix well.
Scrape batter into a greased 12"x 4"x 3" loaf tin.
Bake at 180°C/350°F for 1/2 an hour. Lower temperature to 160°C/325°F and continue baking for another 30 minutes.
Remove bun from pan and allow to cool.
Melt remaining Grace Guava Jam and use to glaze the warm bun.
To Serve: Slice and serve with Tastee Processed Cheese or natural cheddar cheese.
Method Note: Milk may be substituted with wine or water.
