  • 1/2 pound(s) green cabbage, finely shredded
  • 1/2 pound(s) red cabbage, finely shredded
  • 1 large onion, finely sliced
  • 1/4 cup(s) scotch bonnet pepper, chopped
  • 1 large red sweet pepper, sliced
  • 1 large green sweet pepper, finely sliced
  • 1 stalk(s) escallion, thinly sliced
  • 1 large lemon, squeezed
  • 1/4 cup(s) Grace Vinegar
  • 1/4 cup(s) sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) black pepper

Pickled Cabbage Directions

  1. Combine all the vegetables in a large bowl and toss gently.
  2. Combine the lemon juice, vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper and mix well.
  3. Pour the mixture over the vegetables, stir then cover and allow to chill for 30 minutes.

    Chill Time: 30 minutes.
