  • 1 1/2 cup(s) flour
  • 1/3 cup(s) cornflour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon(s) baking powder
  • 3/4 cup(s) Grace Margarine
  • 2 teaspoon(s) vanilla
  • 1 1/4 cup(s) granulated sugar
  • 3 medium eggs
  • 1/3 cup(s) milk

Quick Mix Sand Cake Directions

  1. Sift flour, cornflour and baking powder. Grease and line a small rectangular pan.
  2. Combine margarine, vanilla, sugar, eggs,  milk and dry ingredients in a medium bowl.
  3. Beat with mixer until combined, then on medium speed for 3 minutes until smooth.
  4. Scrape into prepared pan and bake for the specified time or until a skewer inserted comes out clean.
  5. Let cake stand for 5 minutes before turning out onto a wire rack to cool. Dust with icing sugar, if desired.

    To Serve: Cake can be served with fruit or ice cream.
