  • 1 packet(s) Grace Elbow Macaroni
  • 2 tablespoon(s) Prima Margarine
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 stalk(s) escallion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoon(s) flour
  • 2 cup(s) milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon(s) Grace Hot Pepper Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon(s) Grace Caribbean Traditions Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
  • 4 ounce(s) carrots, diced
  • 8 ounce(s) cheddar cheese, shredded

Macaroni and Cheese 1 Directions

  1. Boil Grace Macaroni as instructed on package. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large sauce pot melt Prima Margarine over low flame, add chopped onions and escallion for 2 minutes to develop flavour, add flour constantly, stirring to avoid lumping, add milk gradually, stirring constantly until smooth.
  3. Add Grace Hot Pepper Sauce, garlic powder, salt and carrots.
  4. Remove from flame, add shredded cheese and continue to stir until sauce thickens.
  5. Add boiled macaroni and stir well to combine.
  6. Scrape mixture into a 2 litre (2 quart) casserole and bake at 180°C /350°F until mixture starts to bubble.

    To Serve: Serve with your favourite Green Garden Salad.
