Peel dasheen and cut into 1/8 inch slices. Blanch the dasheen slices for about 2 minutes then drain and set aside.
Heat Grace Vegetable Oil in a saucepan and use to saute the chopped garlic, onion and escallion for one minute.
Add the heavy cream and whisk over medium heat until the sauce begins to thicken; about four minutes. Fold in the black pepper and salt to taste.
Lightly grease a 10" x 6" casserole with 1 teaspoon Grace Hello Margarine.
Arrange one layer of dasheen slices on the base of the greased casserole and use a pastry brush or a spoon to evenly spread on half of the cream sauce. Sprinkle on 1/4 cup Mozzarella Cheese.
Arrange a second layer of dasheen slices and spread on the remaining sauce. Cover with grease paper and press to make it firm. Remove the grease paper and spread on the remaining cheese. Sprinkle with breadcrumbs and top with paprika.
Bake in a preheated oven 180°C (350°F) for about 20 minutes or until a light brown colour is achieved.
