  • 3 cup(s) all purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon(s) baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
  • 1 cup(s) sugar
  • 1 medium egg
  • 1 cup(s) milk
  • 3 tablespoon(s) Margarine, melted
  • 1 teaspoon(s) vanilla
  • 2 tablespoon(s) Margarine, melted
  • 2 tablespoon(s) sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) cinnamon powder
  • 1/2 cup(s) breadcrumbs or cornflakes
  • 2 tablespoon(s) peanuts, chopped

Delicate Coffee Cake Directions

  1. Combine flour, baking powder, salt and sugar, mix well and set aside.
  2. Combine egg, milk, melted Grace Hello Margarine (which was allowed to cool) and vanilla; mix well.
  3. Make a well in the center of the flour mixture and pour in the liquid mixture. Mix quickly and lightly.
  4. Scrape the batter into a lightly greased baking tin.
  5. Combine all the ingredients for the topping and mix well. Sprinkle topping evenly over the surface of the batter.
  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a skewer inserted, comes out clean.

    SERVE NOTE: This cake is perfect for a coffee break.
    Yield:  12-14 slices.
